Summary
The author, a native of the Belarus-Ukraine border region of Soviet Belarus argues that Congress can and must impeach and remove the president and vice president of the United States for treason, as well as high crimes and misdemeanors.
Article II, Section 4 of the US Constitution states that the President, Vice President, and all officers of the United States can be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.
Article III, Section 3 of the Constitution narrowly defines treason as “levying war on the United States, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them (enemies) aid and comfort.”
As high crimes and misdemeanors are not defined in the Constitution, Congress has broad discretion to determine what kinds of conduct fall into these categories.
The author argues that both Donald J. Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance have engaged in treason against the United States, as well as high crimes and misdemeanors, representing a grave and ongoing threat to the safety and security of the United States, undermining the nation’s constitutional order and degradation, if not destruction of the American democracy, as well as lowering the prestige of this nation worldwide as a beacon of democracy, liberty, and fairness, and as a leader of Free World, alienating American friends, helping and embracing tyrants, and, in so doing have created an existential threat to the future of the American security and its very survival. Consequently, the author claims that Congress must be impeach and remove the top federal executives from office.
TREASON
In its published 2018 defense strategy, the previous administration of Donald J. Trump, as well as in the 2022 defense strategy of President Biden’s administration, Russia and China were named principal adversaries of the United States. Since 1953, the communist version of the Russian Empire, also known as The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), has been taking by force and converting to its strategic allies, against the United States, countries in the Western Hemisphere, right in our backyard. The most obvious examples of such are Cuba and Venezuela. This occurred as reports surfaced that Putin was seriously considering military options for invading this vast American land mass, which was purchased by President Andrew Johnson from Russia in 1867. At its closest point across the Bering Strait, Alaska is separated from Russia’s heavily militarized Far East by merely 55 miles, easily within reach of Russian medium-range missiles from the Kura Missile Test Range of the Petropavlovsk Naval Missile Facilities as well as various Arctic bases Russia has constructed for the principal purpose of threatening the United States and Canada.
Although Donald J. Trump(DJT) and JD Vance(JDV) know that The United States is a prospective target for future Russian aggression and invasion, they have sabotaged this nation’s best defensive asset against such hostile acts, The North Atlantic Treaty Organization,of which the United States has been an indispensable partner since the end of World War II, an alliance that has served this nation in keeping it safe and secure from the USSR and its military alliance The Warsaw Pact, as well as the Russian Federation and its ally China.
DJT and JDV have sabotaged NATO’s European eastern front against Putin’s Russia the Putin’s war to annex and absorb Ukraine into Russia to use the territory of Ukraine for further conquest of the European Continent, including its strategically indispensable to a contemplated by Russia and China future intercontinental nuclear attack against the United States territory of the Danish island Greenland, the landmass DJT and JDV have claimed should be taken by military force, or other coercive means, even as yhey know, or should know that saving Ukraine from Russian annexation, would not only deny the Russian imperialists greater foothold in Europe, but could powerfully expand the Western Alliance to include in the near future Ukraine, a country of large population of exceedingly brave and technologically innovative people, as has been conclusively proven during the latest savage invasion of the country by the enemy far superior numerically and in terms of military resources. DJT began this treachury in earnest even before he won the 2024 election, when he admonished his congressional GOP allies not to pass critical to the Ukrainian defense military and economic assistance packages, an act that demonstratively undercut Ukraine’s ability to oppose the Putin’s military and allowed Putin to capture more Ukrainian land. This aided and abetted a United States’ principal adversary, the Russian Federation, endangering as a result American national security. It is doubtless that in doing so, DJT gave this adversary of the United States aid and comfort.
Since taking office, DJT and JDVhave attacked the NATO alliance by threatening to use military might of the United States to forcefully annex Greenland, an autonomous territory of our NATO ally Denmark, causing the desirable (by the Russian Federation and our other principal adversary, communist China) friction and division within NATO, a guarantor of American national security. JDV contributed to the resulted division and controversy within NATO by traveling, without invitation, to Greenland with his wife, where he harassed the Greenlanders and the Danes by insisting that Greenland would be better off as part of the United States. Clearly, these actions by DJT and JDV gave our adversaries Russia and China, bent on world domination, aid and comfort.
The Panama Canal is a critical Caribbean passageway, not only for the United States commercial and military transit, but the commercial and military maritime navigation of our friends, as well as our adversaries Russia and China, as Russia demonstrated in 2008, when it’s warship Admiral Chabatenko demonstratively and provocatively transited the canal. Instead of fostering friendship with Panama, DJT illegally threatened to annex the Panama Canal, undermining the good will of the Panamanians toward the United States and thus threatening the US national security, which undoubtedly gave aid and comfort to our adversaries Russia and China
Mexico has not only been a valuable trading partner of the United States, but could and should be America’s military ally and a buffer zone against military threats from Russia, China and their Latin American allies Cuba, Venezuela and potentially Brazil, yet DJT has consistently alienated Mexico, including through a meritless and illegal tariff war, as well as illegally renaming the Gulf of Mexico into the Gulf of America. Although so far DJT’s hostile actions against Panama and Mexico can be best described as acts of cold war, for the reasons just stated, they have provided aid and comfort to America’s principal adversaries Russia and China, thus acts of treason against the United States.
The culturally and economically most compatible with the US, our northern neighbor Canada, also a NATO member, has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the United States in a number of military conflicts of the 20th and 21st centuries. Canada’s northern territories are positioned as well, or even better than Greenland for a joint US-Canada Defense from the Russian and ChineseFar East and Arctic ballistic missile attacks. Instead of fostering military and economic cooperation between the US and Canada, DJT has all but destroyed the good will and trust of the Canadians by bullying the nation to become the 51st state of the United States, as well as by imposing warrantless, unreasonable and illegal tariffs against the neighbor. At no time has JDV expressed any disagreement with DJT regarding the DJT’s bullying and alienation of Canada.These acts of DJT and inaction by DJV have undoubtedly provided the US adversaries Russia and China with aid and comfort.
High Crimes and Misdemeanors.
The Constitution does not define what constitutes high crimes and misdemeanors in the context of impeachable acts of the president and other officers of the United States. It has, therefore, been left to Congress to discern the meaning of these legal terms. In his first impeachment as the 45th president of the United States, The House of Representatives construed abuse of power to fall into this category. All of the above-mentioned as well as the following actions of the president and VP constitute abuse of power and violations of their oath of office. Furthermore, the following acts of the president and vice president, since assuming office in January 2025, are acts Congress ought to recognize as high crimes and misdemeanors, because they undermine the trust of the American people in the American government as their servant, erode the American prestige around the world and make the United States weaker at home and on the world stage:

4. Nominating and providing extremely sensitive national security positions in his cabinet to inexperienced people of questionable character, lack of relevant experience and demonstrated loyalty to the United States, such as Tulsi Gabbard, Pete Hegseth, etc.;
5. Nominating to his cabinet and offering a high-profile, extremely consequential for the American public’s health and well-being in the age of rapidly occurring, reviving and mutating pathogens, such as bird flu, corona virus and measles, to a controversial anti-vaccine conspiracist and and demagogue DHHS Secretary RFK jr.
6. Failure to fire the Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard for communicating in a manner grossly violating the DOD and national security protocols and in the presence of persons holding no security clearance about a plan and manner of execution of a US military strike against an Iranian proxy Houthi terrorist organization, a communication to which JDV was also a party, a communication that endangered the lives of American servicemen during the military operation.The president has steadfastly maintained that Pete Hegseth has done nothing wrong and would keep his job even after it has been revealed that, in addition to this group,Hegseth communicated the same and other top secret information to his wife and brother.
7. Illegal deportation, without due process of persons legitimately residing in the United States to a notoriously harsh and infamous for violation of human rights prison in El Salvador, then demonstrating contempt for judicial orders to halt, reverse, or provide documents related to the deportations.
8.Failure by the president to fire, rebuke and distance himself from Elon Musk, following the billionaire’s buying of votes in the Wisconsin election to the state’s supreme court, an act that undermines democracy in America, as well as constitutes a crime under the Wisconsin Statute 12.11(voting bribery), and violating the US criminal statute 18 U.S. § 597.
9.The use by DJT of the White House and its grounds for advertising electric cars of the president’s largest donor Elon Musk. thus impermissibly combining his official duties and federal property with the private commercial interests of billionaire Elon Musk.
10. As a US senator from the state of Alaska Lisa Murkowski and other Republican federal law-makers revealed that the entire Republican fraction of the US Congress has been intimidated by DJT to not oppose his priorities, lest he and his wealthy supporters would undermine their chances of winning the GOP primaries. Such threats not only interfere wth the workings of a cornerstone constitutional principle of separation of powers, but threaten the American democracy by bullying the democratically elected representatives of the people against acting in the interests of their constituencies..These threats by DJT and failure by him and DJV to reassure Congress following these revelations of their commitment to maintain the safety, security and independence of the legislators is a breech by the two of their oaths of office to uphold the Constitution and to faithfully execute the laws of the United States.
11. The Commerce Clause of Article I of the Constitution empowers Congress to regulate trade between the US and foreign nations, as well as to impose tariffs and imposts on foreign goods. However, the president has unilaterally engaged in a tariff war against foreign nations, some of which are America’s closest allies, causing as a result economic harm to the US economy, American consumers and the pension plans of millions of American retirees. Instead of offering constructive criticism of these policies, the vice president has cheered DJT, violating his oath of office to defend and protect the Constitution.
12. The Constitution’s ArticleI,Section 9, Clause 8, aka the Emoluments Clause prohibits the US presidents from receiving gifts from foreign states, without approval from Congress. This prohibition notwithstanding, DJT single-handedly accepted a gift of a $400 million worth airplane from the government of Qatar, without asking Congress to approve the acceptance of this gift. The government of Qatar is a major buyer of American military equipment, including military aviation, which raises questions as to whether the gift is a grift. The acceptance of the Qatari gift by DJT without congressional approval violates the United States Constitution, and, as such constitutes abuse of power.
13. During the February 28, 2025 meeting between the president of Ukraine Volodimir Zelensky with the US president and vice president in the White House , DJT and JDV verbally ambushed the Ukrainian president with false claims and preposterous demands, a conduct unbecoming of their high office, which outraged the observers in America and worldwide. such conduct is prima facia abuse of power, constituting a high crime and misdemeanor by both the president and vice president. The president repeated conducted himself in a similarly undignified abusive manner in the oval office on May 21, 2025 when he ambushed the visiting president of South Africa Cyril Ramaphosa, when he ambushed Mr. Ramaphosa with false accusations that the South African government tolerates persecution and genocide of the White South Africans.
Conclusion
Given the extraordinarily grave consequences to the nation of the listed acts of treason and high crimes and misdemeanors committed by President Trump and Vice President J. D. Vance, Congress must impeach, convict and remove the president and vice president from office, barring them from ever holding offices of public trust again. Since Vice President JD Vance would be the first in the line of succession in the event of the president’s removal from office , such acts of Congress would be of unprecedented, and enormous consequences for the nation and the world. However, both of these leaders pose great danger to the American people, American democracy, national security and world order. Drastic times require drastic measures. Perhaps it would be prudent to wait with the impeachments until after the 2026 midterm elections, which may result in Democrat majority in the House and the House speaker, who is a Democrat, the third in the line of presidential succession, if the president and vice president are removed by Congress. Perhaps a start of impeachment proceedings against DJT and JDV, accompanied by a massive public outcry in America for the impeachment and removal of DJT and JDV could help the Democratic party achieve significant majorities in the two houses of Congress during the midterm elections. The author has viable ideas for ways to rapidly grow the requisite movement.
